Import models from any Forza game into Zmodeler 3 to later convert them for GTA 5 with this comprehensive tutorial.
The models in the Forza games are really very clean and that's why a lot of the modded vehicles in GTA 5 come from them, but before you can convert one to GTA 5 you must first convert it to make it usable on Zmodeler 3.
Forza vehicles when downloaded come in an archive that contains 2 types of files that will interest us: .carbin, which are the 3D parts of the vehicle, and the .xds, which are the textures. So we need to convert the .carbin at .obj to be able to import them into Zmodeler 3 and .xds at .tga to import them into Zmodeler as well. Even though the textures in .tga cannot be opened with Windows Photo Viewer, they will be recognized and usable on Zmodeler 3, you can also import them on Photoshop to modify them, and of course OpenIV will support this type of texture when importing into the .YTD of your vehicle.
To do all these conversions we will use the Forza Studio and XTX software. If you encounter problems with a crash of Forza Studio during launch, the solution is given in video.
The Forza models can be downloaded from the site given in the description of the video on YouTube.
Once the model is fully converted and imported into Zmodeler 3, all you have to do is sort the different 3D parts as shown in the video and then import the textures.
There you have it, your vehicle is ready to be converted for GTA 5, it's your turn!
You can download Forza Studio ICI, and XTX ICI or simply by following the links found in the description of the video.
