Learn how to make your own needle counter for your GTA V vehicles very easily with this tutorial!

Create a needle counter and customize it as you see fit! You'll need Zmodeler 3 and OpenIV to make your counter, as well as a vehicle from the game (you'll understand why later).

You've modded a vehicle but don't know how to add a working needle counter? Thanks to this tutorial, you'll be able to solve the problem in no time - and very simply!

In this video, you'll learn how to make the lap counter, speedometer, indicator lights (indicators, low beam, high beam, handbrake... etc...) and radio functional! Following the same principle as the video, you'll be able to make the needles for the fuel, oil and engine temperature gauges functional, using a speedometer that has them.

First, you'll need to export a vehicle from the base game (unmodified), fitted with a needle counter of your choice. Then import it into Zmodeler 3. In the video I'm using the cab because it has a really basic needle counter, but you can use any other counter you like!

When the model is imported (in this case, the cab), only the compound named "dials"We're going to change the material so that we can see it better and be in better conditions to work on our counter. Then we'll fit it over our counter, following the steps in the video.

Please note that the numbers on the texture of the meter will not be displayed. NOT visible in play on your counter.

Finally, don't forget to activate the counter in the game script and add its texture to the .YTD textures folder, as shown in the video, to get your needle counter up and running.
