Android Phone lost somewhere or somewhere stolen by someone? No recovery application of type Lookout installed on your smartphone? Don't panic! It is still possible to do so locate in order to find even without any application installation beforehand!
How does it work? Everyone knows that Android belongs to Google and that it is imperative to have a Google account in order to use your device. Thanks to a link available in the required elements section of this page you will be able to access the Google Device Manager, which will take care of locating the Android device connected to your Google account for you.
It is imperative that the smartphone is connected to internet, either by Wifi, either by date 3G, 4G… Otherwise the connection will not be made. As for the GPS It's a little different, if it's enabled, then your phone will be immediately located at its current precise location. If however your GPS is disabled, then Google will take care of telling you where your smartphone was last located before GPS was disabled. The time of its last connection is also given.
There are also three other very useful options on the Google Device Manager. You will be able to do ring your phone remotely to find it more easily, useful if it has fallen out of your bag into tall grass for example. It is then possible to lock access to it and display a personalized message and a call button for the number of your choice. This way, if a friendly person finds your phone, they will only have to click on the call button to reach you or a loved one. And finally, the last option should only be used if you are sure that you will never see your device again since it will literally reset your smartphone to its factory settings so that no one can access any of your data.
If you want to install an application that acts as aanti-theft and ofantivirus at once take a look at my video about Lookout, which will be much more efficient than Google and offers additional functions such as taking photo and GPS position which will be sent to you by mail when someone steals your smartphone or performs unusual actions.
