This tutorial will work for all videos but there may be some exceptions. All my videos are compressed using this method before being uploaded to YouTube, you can see for yourself that the quality in 1080p is still excellent.
What you need to know is that the software we will use, which is also very light and ultra easy to use, does not compress the video simply by modifying its encoding. Very often the videos are poorly encoded, they weigh a lot when we could avoid this, so, for my example when I finished a 3-minute video it often weighs more than 300 MB, which is therefore very long to upload to YouTube. Once the compression is done the video only weighs about 30 MB, the file size has therefore been divided by 10 and consequently the upload time too, which is really huge!
In the case where the size of the video is not reduced by much or not at all, it is because your video was already encoded at best when it came out of your editing software. In this case it is not possible to reduce the size without losing the quality, if you want to reduce the volume at all costs you will then have to move the quality slider on the software and therefore sacrifice a little quality.
In order to get the best possible rendering, make sure to use the same settings as me in the video.
Usually the software will take only a few minutes or sometimes less than a minute depending on the length of the video to compress it.
You will need the HandBrake software which can be downloaded from THIS LINK, or simply by following the link in the video description on YouTubee.
