Save some battery and internet credit thanks to this trick which consists of using a GPS other than the one integrated into all smartphones, namely Google Maps.
We will use HERE WeGo, an alternative GPS that I personally find much nicer than Google Maps, available for free on Android and IOS. This GPS without internet allows you to pre-load the maps of your choice, it is up to you to download what interests you in general. You can take for example the whole of Europe, or simply a country like France, or even refine the search by choosing only one region (example shown in the video).
Once the packs are loaded, simply check the box “ Use app offline ". From there you can turn off your mobile data and access GPS simply by using the device's location.
You will save a lot of battery life on your device because HERE WeGo is less power-hungry than Google Maps, and turning off the mobile data connection greatly increases your battery life.
As for all the options, there is still a GPS classic so there's no point in making a video presenting them all, I'll let you discover them for yourself.
