If you too prefer ios emoji and don't like your phone's basic smileys at all, and you don't want to root your device either, this tip is for you!

Please note that this will change the emoticons for messaging only. BUT that's quite enough, because on Facebook we have the IOS emoji style anyway.

Your contacts will receive IOS emoji if they've also installed the app or if they're on Iphone, otherwise they'll simply get their phone's default smiley, so don't be afraid of white squares.

For this tip, you'll need to use the Textra application, which for me is quite simply the best messaging application because it's fully customizable, and we can even change the smileys used in messages!

So, yes, some people are skeptical about messaging applications other than those provided by the manufacturer of their phone - I can assure you, I'm one of them too! But Textra offers so many more features than the original messaging app that I ended up testing it and keeping it. What's more, the fact that it's customizable is a big plus!

2 possibilities for using emoji: either you have the IOS-style drop-down menu integrated into the application, or the smiley menu on your keyboard if it has one (for my part, SwiftKey, which I recommend).

For all the people who ask me how to get them on Snapchat, for example, NOT POSSIBLE WITH THIS METHOD ! Here we're using Textra's built-in IOS emoji directly, not replacing the system emoji in any way. If you want to completely replace system emoji with IOS emoji, you'll need to rotate your phone and then use an "Emoji Switcher"-type application.
