Forget all the so-called apps energy saving for Android, most, if not all, are just fake and do not allow you to gain a lot of battery life, some even go so far as to consume more energy and therefore reduce the battery life of your device!
So here is a method infallible whose operating principle is just great! What this application will do on your device is simply to apply a filter to the screen. The purpose of this filter is to intelligently turn off certain pixels in order to maintain the correct readability of the screen. To summarize more simply, your screen will be turned off for the most part, therefore replaced by black pixels, and only certain pixels will remain lit in order to let you use your phone without any discomfort. It is possible to turn off for example 88% from the screen, only 12% the screen will be on in this case, and you will only consume 12% dedicated battery for the screen.
In the video the rendering is quite bad once the filter is activated, but try it for yourself to see the rendering in real life. You might think that the screen will be unreadable, unusable… etc… but in the end no, it will be comparable to a lower resolution screen. You will tell me now that it is stupid to buy a Galaxy S7 for example with a 2K resolution screen if it is to use only 12% of it and therefore have a screen of HD quality, but absolutely not! The 2K screen is useful for what after all? Games, videos, or even photos. You do not need that many pixels to type a few SMS during the day! When you need your entire screen, a simple click on the notification is enough to deactivate the application and therefore restore your entire screen!
Note that obviously your phone must be equipped with a screen AMOLED. Check online to see if your phone has one or not if you don't know. The principle of a screen AMOLED is that all the completely black pixels on the screen are extinguished and therefore do not consume energy. If you use this application on a screen LCD for example it will be ineffective since the black pixels will still be lit in black and your battery life will remain the same.
